To counter the negativity of misplaced shame and blame on educators, we are encouraging parents, educators, community members, friends and family join together to celebrate the pride we have in our public schools. The #OHPublicSchoolProud campaign celebrates the value of public education as an important thread in the fabric of our neighborhoods.
Everyone is invited to like and share the #OHPublicSchoolProud Facebook page - this is about our communities, not just educators so please help cast this broadly. Please like and share the #OHPublicSchoolProud page now and invite your friends to like and share the page.
The #OHPublicSchoolProud campaign seeks to highlight the positive experiences of public education. Teachers are sharing cool things happening in their classrooms. Students are sharing what they find exciting about a particular course of study. Adults are sharing how their public school education prepared them for whatever career and life path they've pursued and why they are where they are now. It's about expressing pride in our public schools and the impact that public education has had on our lives.
The #OHPublicSchoolProud campaign is a wonderful way to tell and share the positive stories that exist but don't often get told. Tell them at facebook.com/OHPublicSchoolProud using the hashtag #OHPublicSchoolProud.
